These are eicosanoids containing an oxirane group attached to the fatty acyl chain. Thus, 11,12-epetre is considered to be an eicosanoid lipid molecule. 11,12-EpETrE is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral.
